Deep Dish Pizza

This is one of those dishes that I decided to make when I had no idea what to cook for dinner, but I had ground beef ready to be used. I am so glad I tried this recipe. It was so good and easy!! You can spice it up with any pizza toppings you'd like. Just throw them in with the hamburger mixture! Yum! Next time, we will add feta cheese, because you all know of my love for feta cheese!

Deep Dish Pizza
adapted from Southern Plate

Ingredients:
2 pounds ground beef (You can use 1 pound Italian sausage in place of 1 pound of ground beef)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup flour
15 ounces pizza sauce
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
8 ounce mozzarella (or more)
1/2 tsp salt
dash black pepper
1 cup milk
2 eggs
1 Tablespoon oil
2 Tablespoons Italian seasoning
Any toppings you like, just layer them in with the meat!

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Brown hamburger (and sausage if you're using it) and onion. Drain well. Add Italian seasoning and pizza sauce. Stir well. Spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Sprinkle mozzarella over bottom of it. Spread meat mixture over the cheese. In mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, flour, oil, and salt. Pour over meat in pan. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over batter. Bake 30 minutes.

This really is a great pizza recipe. Save many works of making a traditional pizza and looks delicious too. I like it so much. Probably I would like to add some bell peppers and tomatoes into the meat to increase some texture. :)
