Marinated Tilapia

I found this recipe on Tasty Kitchen. It was really easy to prepare. I marinated my fish longer than 15 minutes (the original recipe says only 10-15 minutes) and I found the flavor to be good, but the soy sauce over powered everything else. I would only marinate this fish for 15 minutes, and no longer. The good thing about that is you can have dinner ready to go in 25 minutes! Enjoy!

Marinated Tilapia
slightly adapted from Tasty Kitchen

Ingredients:
4 whole Tilapia Fillets
1-½ teaspoon Freshly Grated Ginger or 1/2 tsp ground ginger
¼ cups Soy Sauce
1 Tablespoon Honey
1 Tablespoon Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
1 Tablespoon Oil (original recipe calls for sesame oil)
2 Tablespoons Butter

Directions:
Whisk ginger, soy sauce, honey, oil and lime juice together in a bowl.

Marinate the Tilapia fillets for 10 to 15 minutes, but no longer.

Melt butter in large flat bottomed skillet until it begins to brown.

Add fish to hot skillet. Cook until done, but not overdone. Cook fish a few minutes on each side, until it easily flakes off with a fork.

Remove fish from the pan and deglaze pan with remaining marinade. Spoon a small amount of sauce on top of fillets and serve immediately.
